As if this was the right week for the IFAD President to witness the International Women's Day, March 8th, by meeting smallholder women farmers. Zanele Shongwe who presenting on behalf of feedlot farmers inspired the president with her own life story. Zanele shared her excitement on the feedlot business with her story. She had recently bought a bull for E6000 and fed it for 3 months at a cost of E1500. She later sold the bull at E19000.00. The president shared this story with the Prime Minister of Swaziland Sibusiso Dlamini during a courtesy visit to Cabinet Office. He was motivated by the way women are agents of transforming agriculture to agribusiness.
